After working for Global Fashion Collective in Vancouver throughout summer 2023, I was invited to their S/S 24 London Fashion Week show to help with backstage social media, after the success for S/S 24, I attended F/W 24 to be a part of their social media team again. The objective was to curate engaging content for their Instagram account during the shows, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, showcasing sponsors and designers, and building an asset bank of images for future use
Project approach
To ensure I met the expectations of the team, I adopted a multifaceted approach. I used both my phone and camera to capture content throughout the day, ensuring a diverse range of visuals for the Instagram stories, using my phone for videos to create more content, and my camera to capture high quality stills. Additionally, I integrated myself into backstage operations, offering assistance to designers while documenting the fashion moments on camera.
Project result
The project yielded a rich collection of content for Global Fashion Collective’s Instagram account, providing audiences with exclusive glimpses into the world of London Fashion Week. From behind-the-scenes footage to stunning runway looks, the content captured the essence of the event and effectively showcased the sponsors and designers. The asset bank of images and videos created ensures a steady stream of captivating content for continued engagement throughout the year.
